HUMAN PROJECTS

These projects were a great way for me to build my 3D modeling skills in ZBrush. There’s a little over a year between them and I think they show how much I’ve grown during that time, both in technique and creative approach.

Zbrush sculpt of Me

I started this sculpt back in 2023 as a personal project, just something fun to explore new techniques. Almost a year later, I picked it back up during the mid-year break and challenged myself to finish it within that time.
From sculpting to texturing to creating the hair with XGen, it was a really rewarding process. I used ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Maya throughout and I’m really happy with how it all came together in the end.

Jean

This was a university project where the task was to design the main character in ZBrush. The character, Jean, is a young girl living through the Black Plague in France.
I started by creating the base mesh in Maya, then moved into ZBrush to add detail and bring the character to life. This was only the second human character I’d sculpted, and I was pretty proud of how it turned out.
As part of the same story, I also created a 3D-printable creature, which added a fun and challenging twist to the project. Trying something new like that was a great learning experience.
